Climate Change and Sustainable Development (CCSD)

The research group is conducting multidisciplinary technical and economic research on climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation with the aim to support integrated assessment, decision making and  the development and implementation of climate friendly technological solutions. Research activities are within the three following areas:

  1. Modelling of climate Change mitigation, renewable energy, and smart cities;
  2. Decision making tools for climate change impacts and adaptation;
  3. Sustainable development and policy implementation.

The group is well established internationally, strongly participating in world-recognised fora as IPCC and OECD. Within DTU Management Engineering this group develops the methodological foundation of integrated assessments of economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable developments to be used in education and research.

CCSD contributes to the following SYS Research Themes: 2 - Energy economics, policy analysis and energy demand modelling, 3 - Climate change impacts, risks and adaptation, and 4 - Urban systems and green economy.
